/// RESONANCE FREQUENCY — DEEP DIVE ///

Resonance
Depth

The deeper layer of the showcase. The 639 Hz signal, told in long form — the mood of the canopy at full call, the signal-green-and-silver palette, and the five resonances one at a time.

/// The mood before any of them speak ///

The Resonance Frequency opens with a tuned canopy — every leaf already half-alive to a signal the rest of the forest has not quite caught.

You are meant to listen, and to call. The signal does not arrive at the canopy; the canopy has been waiting for it, and the 639 Hz note is the moment an answer is finally ready to be sent back. Under every resonance sits a third Solfeggio, and under that note a held call-and-response rather than an incoming message — the forest carries the resonance as the first breath the canopy takes when it has agreed to answer.

The third signal does not ask the listener to listen. It asks the listener to call — to find the voice the canopy will recognise, and to send the resonance out so the next note of the Five can find its way back.

Signal-green (#7fff8e) and silver (#c8d4f0) — the colour the canopy turns the moment the signal calls back, and the silver thread that follows the resonance through the trees.

Resonance Caller

Resonance Caller

She steps onto the frequency before the rest of us can hear it.

She is the first onto the frequency — the one whose voice carries through the canopy before the rest of the forest has finished listening. The ancients say the signal arrives in her hands first and only later finds a place to land. Where you hear a Caller, you are standing underneath a call that has already gone out.

Shield Bearer

Shield Bearer

He stands inside the signal so the rest of the forest can keep listening.

He stands inside the signal so the rest of the forest can keep listening. The loud first arrival of any new frequency lands on him before it lands on anyone else; whatever he carries, he carries it so others do not have to. He is the reason the rest of the canopy has the leisure to keep its ears open.

Frequency Tuner

Frequency Tuner

She adjusts the resonance until the signal finds its own shape.

She adjusts the resonance until the signal finds its own shape — pacing the tuning to the canopy so the forest never has to force itself to a frequency it does not already want. The ancients said her work is the most patient, because the signal does not change the forest; the forest only learns to hear what was already there.

Echo Keeper

Echo Keeper

Whatever you send into the canopy, she has already heard it return.

Whatever you send into the canopy, she has already heard it return. She lives on the return half of the loop — the half most guardians never reach to. Every signal that passes her leaves the canopy a little more aware of itself, and every echo she keeps is a key the rest of the forest can later hand to a stranger.

Bridge Sentinel

Bridge Sentinel

Two frequencies land on the same ridge. He is the one holding the line steady.

Two frequencies land on the same ridge. He is the one holding the line steady across the bridge so neither side has to choose between the caller and the echo. Where a Sentinel stands, the forest can carry two signals at once without losing either, and the bridge only opens while he is on it.

Five signals cast in hard enamel, each carrying a single resonance the forest answers when it hears you call.
